Webb Rail Interior, Dome Sleeper 313/WEBX 801044

A few words on design. When Budd built the bulk of its streamlined stainless steel rail cars from the 1940s-1960s, it worked at the direction of its customer railroads, who in turn were designing their cars to the needs of their customer passengers. When furnishing the restoration of former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built Pullman dome/sleeper 313 (WEBX 801044), Webb Rail considered its customers, who desire a luxury experience, and not a high capacity accommodation. 313 is a full sleeper dome that sleeps 13 passengers. Its lounge has thus been designed to allow those riders to fully enjoy their experience while eating, drinking, and socializing.
