On Tuesday August 3, 2021, former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built Pullman dome/sleeper 313 (WEBX 801044) former Northern Pacific Railway Budd built dome/coach 549 (WEBX 801045) held the markers on Amtrak Train 28 (Empire Builder) as it passed through WA-14 (Lewis And Clark Highway) Tunnel Number 1 near Drano Lake in Underwood, Washington. The unfinished face of the bore of this tunnel almost makes it appear that the train is disappearing into a rock, but the tunnel itself is only about 100 feet in length.
