On Friday, February 24, 2023, Amtrak Train 91 (Silver Star) was only a few minutes New York Penn Station when it passed through Swift interlocking and crossed the "Sawtooth" Bridge in Kearny, New Jersey with the Newark Skyline in the background. The bridge is planned for significant work in the near future as part of upgrades associated with Amtrak's Gateway Program.
