Last Of The Last. Key System “Bridge Unit” 187 (Bethlehem Shipyard, Wilmington, De in 1937) was the last of 88 cars of its nominal class delivered for bridge service. Operating over the Key System Lines, notably crossing the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge until 1958, the car was subsequently acquired by the Western Railway Museum where it operates today, as seen on on Saturday, March 26, 2022. Sister cars made their way to Argentina after the abandonment of service in California and operated there for many years.
