MTA Metro-North Railroad Holiday Lights Trains For 2025-2026 Season! Saturday, November 29, 2025, was the second day that MTA Metro-North Railroad operated an 8-car set of M8s decorated with lights and a special holiday logo for the season. This year, there will also be a dual-mode locomotive with coaches, and both with operate in revenue service on the Hudson, Harlem, and New Haven Lines. Kawasaki built M8 9260 is seen leading Train 9605 through Pleasantville, New York, during the early morning hours, with just enough time before sunrise to accentuate the holiday lights of the village.
