Leaving A Snow Trail. The day after it snowed more than a foot, Amtrak Train 280 was approaching the station in Hastings-On-Hudson, New York, on January 26, 2026, with AMTK 124 (P42DC) leading. The sub-freezing temperatures have preserved the snow, leading to 'snow trails' at higher speeds. In the background, the east tower of the new Tappan Zee Bridge (aka Mario L. Cuomo Bridge if you are on Google Maps and not local) looms over a frozen Hudson River.
