Young Chargers. Siemens SC-44s IDTX 4616, 4619 and 4618 had been recently delivered to the Amtrak Chicago, Illinois Yard on August 13, 2017 when they sat next to the Locomotive Shop. Too new even for lettering, they are in their as delivered colors, but would soon find the "Amtrak Midwest" branding applied before being placed in service. all 33 of the Midwest SC-44s have been delivered and placed into service, but Amtrak is currently still receiving the 125 Siemens ALC-42s of the original and option orders.
