Leaser Leading. On the evening of July 14, 2018, CSX Q253 was led by leased Citirail ES44AC CREX 1333, captured while passing through the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge in Savannah, New York. Since 1970, Citicorp Railmark Inc. (operating as Citirail Express, a subsidiary of Citibank, a division of Citigroup) has provided leased locomotives to railroads. The company once rostered over 150 locomotives, but has significantly scaled down, primarily by selling off this group of 125 ES44ACs. CREX 1333 was sold to Canadian National and renumbered 2774. Today, this scene has completely changed since CSX rebuilt the bridge.
