Under a maze of wires! MBTA Commuter Rail 1026 (F40, 5/1991) leads a commuter train departing Boston, Massachusetts South Station on the evening of Sunday 4/30/2017. These F40s, once accounting for a vast number of passenger trains' motive power in the U.S. are now appreciably less common to see on the road. Other than rare appearances on NJT tracks, MBTA is now your only chance to see them powering trains on the Amtrak Northeast Corridor Line.
