Short Stone Move. On the morning of Friday, June 20, 2025, MTA Metro-North Railroad BL14CG MNCW 402 was assigned to the daytime Mott Haven switch crew, also known as AMMO. This crew is commonly sent out to rescue trains that break down, but in between emergency assignments, can be found moving around work equipment. On this morning, there were a few pieces of freight equipment that were being rearranged at the MO Yard, including a loaded ballast car. The pair of Brookville built yellow BL14CGs are unique. Purchased in 2008 to transport materials related to the construction of East Side Access/Grand Central Madison, they now serve in the pool of work locomotives that cover Metro-North Railroad.
