Charger To Wassaic. Very recently and without much fanfare, MTA Metro-North Railroad introduced new Siemens SC42-DMs to Harlem Line service. When running on this line, these locomotives can be found on the pair of Wassaic Direct trains that operate during AM and PM rush hours. On Monday, March 9, 2026, Train 953 was led by MNCW 302, seen here crossing Stevens Avenue by MP 27.4 at the Mount Pleasant Railroad Station. There is only one small section of the Hudson Line that has two tracks in third-rail territory, making this picture easily identifiable as on the Harlem Line.
