Metro-North/Siemens SC42-DM Charger 1st Revenue Run To Danbury
On Friday, March 27, 2026, MTA Metro-North Railroad MNCW 301 led train 1848 from Grand Central Terminal to Danbury, Connecticut, the first revenue run for a Siemens SC42-DM on the Danbury Line. There are about a dozen SC42-DMs on the property now, and they are a regular presence on the Harlem and Hudson Lines. The consist was yarded for the weekend and sat in front of the Danbury Railway Museum (former Danbury Union Station). On Monday, March 30, 2026, it returned to Grand Central Terminal on Train 1831.
