Central + Penn = Penn Central! While at the Norfolk Southern Corp/N.C. Transportation Museum Heritage Units event on 7/4/2012, I captured this picture of related railroads. New York Central Railroad (1066) is followed by Pennsylvania Railroad (8102) and Penn Central Railroad (1073). The Erie (1068) and Lackawanna (1074) units bring up the end, suggesting another merger and actual heritage unit which was to come later.
