When It Rains In The Subway. The vast majority of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority - MTA New York City Subway was built before Word War II, and during intense rain storms, flooding is a major problem. During a set of transfer moves on the very dry and sunny morning of August 25, 2022, a pair demonstrating the two different setups passed by the 18th Avenue, Brooklyn, New York station while moving between 38th Street and Coney Island Yards. During use, PF219 [Pump Flat] or PC03 [Pump Car]) hold the pump mechanism and hoses will be deployed through the 3 former passenger cars ('reacher cars') while the diesels move the trains to affected areas.
