Dream Big. On April 23, 2017, a Lehigh Valleyt NRHS RDC charter over rare mileage on the Reading and Northern Railroad - Passenger visited various locations on the railroad not normally seen by the regular passenger trains. One of the now routine places for passengers that featured a run-by was the present day Outer Station in Reading, Pennsylvania. Construction was then underway for what would become a very impressive facility to accommodate
passengers and shift the base start location from Port ClInton to Reading. RBMN 9168 (RDC-1) leads a 2 car train by RBMN 4-6-0 (ex-Canadian Pacific Railroad , D-10, MLW, 1913) on the display track past East Bellevue Avenue. Today, this area features a graded parking lot, a retro-style but newly constructed tower style building that functions as a crew office, and a concrete platform for passengers to board the numerous passenger trains operated by the RBMN. One can only imagine how crowded this area will be when 2102 begins to operate and President Andy Muller's next project is completed.
