NOPS At Night On The Creek. During the evening of August 20, 2016, New Orleans Public Service Inc. (NOPSI) car 850 stopped briefly on the bridge near Short Beach in Branford, Connecticut. This Perley Thomas car operated in New Orleans, Louisiana, from 1923 through 1964 and is part of the class of famed New Orleans cars that still operate in the city. In 1964, it was brought to the Shore Line Trolley Museum and has operated continuously since then, except for a trip off-site for public relations.
