Derby Street Motor, on loan from Shore Line TM to the New York Transit Museum, Brooklyn, New York

Original Preservation. As part of its rotating exhibits, former Derby Street Railway electric motor (1888, Pullman) was brought to be displayed at the New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn, New York for an extended period of time. This locomotive is thought to be the first electric car to be preserved in North America. It is seen there on on October 4, 2012, and has since returned to the Shore Line Trolley Museum in Branford, Connecticut.
