Multiple Unit Controller. Manhattan Railways/Key System/Richmond Shipyard Railway car 561was converted to electric MU operation from 1901-03. A view of the cab on Saturday, March 26, 2022 shows the original GE controller and brake stand still in use. The car operated on New York City’s elevated lines from 1887-1942 before going to California to run for Key System.
