Chasing The Sunrise. On the morning of Sunday, September 14, 2025, CSX M701 was a late arrival into New York City. The normally nocturnal train met the sunrise and arrived at Oak Point yard in the Bronx, New York, with the crew on very short time. Leading locomotive CSXT 8840 (née-CR 6465, SD40-2, 10/1978) added a nice "standard cab bonus" to the scene. Of note in the Yonkers picture, Domino Sugar/ASR Group is planning to close this sugar refinery by the end of 2025 after more than 130 years of operation.
