America250 Under The Streets Of New York. On Thursday, June 18, 2026, the MTA NYCT Subway debuted yet another special design for its cars, with R62A cars 1861–1865 and 1896–1900 displaying logos for America 250 on the 1 Line. In addition to a flag-style design and the new "M" logo that recently appeared on MTA Metro-North Railroad coaches, another decal declares, "The MTA celebrates 250 years of American Independence." A similar train also operated on the 6 line, and the logos have been spotted on MTA Staten Island Railway R211Ss.
